Why You’ll Love This Cheeseburger Skillet
- Comes together in one pan
- Only pantry staples needed
- Reheats really well which makes it great for leftovers or meal prep!
Ingredients
- Olive oil
- Ground beef
- Salt and pepper
- Onion
- Diced pickles
- Mayo
- Thousand Island dressing
- Shredded cheese
How to Make this Cheeseburger Skillet
- In a medium/large skillet, add in a drizzle of oil and cook the group beef over medium heat. Season with salt & pepper. Cook until no longer pink and the meat begins to get crispy and brown, about 5-8 minutes. Drain the fat and set aside.
- In the same pan, cook the onions until they start to become translucent, about 3-5 minutes. Add in the diced pickles, hamburger, mayo, thousand island, and mix until combined.
- Top with shredded cheese and broil in the oven until the cheese melts about 3-4 minutes.
- Serve immediately on hamburger buns, or over rice!
Tips/Variations
- Make it lighter: use a leaner ground beef or swap it out for ground turkey or chicken
- Add veggies: serve with shredded lettuce at the end or your favorite burger toppings!
- This recipe goes great on my 1 Hour Homemade Burger Bun recipe
- Low-carb option: skip the rice completely and serve it in a bowl with extra lettuce instead
