Ingredients

  • Olive oil
  • Ground beef
  • Salt and pepper
  • Onion
  • Diced pickles
  • Mayo
  • Thousand Island dressing
  • Shredded cheese

How to Make this Cheeseburger Skillet

  1. In a medium/large skillet, add in a drizzle of oil and cook the group beef over medium heat. Season with salt & pepper. Cook until no longer pink and the meat begins to get crispy and brown, about 5-8 minutes. Drain the fat and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, cook the onions until they start to become translucent, about 3-5 minutes. Add in the diced pickles, hamburger, mayo, thousand island, and mix until combined.
  3. Top with shredded cheese and broil in the oven until the cheese melts about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Serve immediately on hamburger buns, or over rice!

Tips/Variations

  • Make it lighter: use a leaner ground beef or swap it out for ground turkey or chicken
  • Add veggies: serve with shredded lettuce at the end or your favorite burger toppings!

  • 1 Tbsp olive or avocado oil
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 yellow or white onion diced
  • 2/3 cup dill pickles diced
  • 2 Tbsp mayo
  • 2/3 cup thousand island dressing
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
